Prof. Alt is the dean of the faculty of education and teaching at Tel-Hai College, Israel. She is specialized in the field of development, implementation, and evaluation of future-oriented competency-based learning environments enhanced by technology. Her research work is focused on teaching-learning-assessment in the information era to develop lifelong learning skills (cognitive, intrapersonal, and interpersonal). Her studies center on the development and evaluation of innovative learning environments aimed at the improvement of learners' abilities in achieving personal well-being, social sensitivity, and economic and occupational well-being during social and global changes. Her research papers have been published in leading scientific journals. Prof. Alt is highly active in the scientific international arena aimed at promoting the application and research on new learning environments (European Association for Research on Learning and Instruction EARLI).
