The founder and the Head of the Stress, Trauma and Resilience Studies in the department in of Social Work, Tel-Hai College, Israel.
Academic background: Master in public health and Ph.D. in social work.
Research and practice activities are in the field of resilience empowerment as well as trauma symptoms reduction mainly during the acute stage of the trauma (ASR-ASD).
Dr. Farchi expertise is in emergency mental health interventions, Psychological First Aid (PFA), Psychological inoculation and other PFA protocols.
Publications: Dr. Farchi published has been to more then 30 conferences, published several innovative articles and book chapters – mostly on interventions during the acute phase.
Dr. Farchi developed and published on 2011 the SIX C's model: Guidelines for immediate interventions during the acute phase. This model has been adopted by the IDF and has been implemented to the use of the IDF solders under the name of "MAGEN" project. Until 2016 all the IDF solders are planed to go through the MAGEN training and acquire the skills for helping their friends during any crisis. -
