Multidisciplinary Studies, B.A.

The Department of Multidisciplinary Studies has existed since the establishment of the College and has built a reputation for excellence, openness and scientific innovation. The department is dynamic, combines professionalism, and human sensitivity during the course of the degree studies. As part of the flexibility that characterizes it, the department offers options for studies in a single or dual-disciplinary track.
The department offers courses in Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Gender, History, Philosophy, Environmental Studies, Israeli Studies, Politics and Government, and Conflict Management and Resolution.
The rationale of the department is that young, talented students are interested in acquiring a quality academic education and yet they do not always know the direction of the specialization they wish to pursue. The department provides such students with a proper academic infrastructure, which builds a solid and professional foundation for future specialization. Students are given the ability to understand and analyze the socio-cultural landscape using sociological and anthropological tools, with an emphasis on the multicultural aspects of Israeli society in general and the northern region specifically.
Upon graduating, students will be able to analyze, understand, explain, and critically evaluate the situation of social groups, organizations and communities, and various social processes using theoretical and practical tools gained during their studies.
