History of Kibbutz Tel-Hai
Pioneers– then and now
Kibbutz Tel-Hai in the early 20th century became renowned for the resolute stand of its small group of settlers who were committed to building a community in the faraway periphery of the land. It was these pioneers, who founded Tel-Hai College, a center dedicated to providing a variety of afternoon programs for the local population, which became an academic institute.
Many decades later, the same pioneering spirit prevails in the College’s vision of bringing excellent higher education and research to the communities of the Upper Galilee. The lives and stories of the pioneers have become an integral part of everyday life at the College, inspiring both students and staff to carry on the vision of growth and prosperity in the Galilee, and strive for a better Israeli society, with equal opportunities for all its members.
