Prof. Shira Hantman

Coming from the Department of Social Work, where she served as the chairperson of the department and later as Dean of Social Sciences and Humanities, Prof. Hantman has a proven record of leadership and scholarship. Originally from the United States, Prof. Hantman earned her Bachelor degree at the Hebrew University, and then obtained her M.A. and Ph.D. from Tel-Aviv University. Prof. Hantman's research and work focus primarily, but not exculsively, on various issues ralting to Gerontology: intergenerational relations in the later life, forgiveness, aging Holocaust survivors and teaching models of gerontological social work.
