Environmental Science, B.Sc.
Accelerated social and economic development in recent years continually challenges our ability to preserve nature and the environment. The Environmental Science track, established as a direct result of these challenges, integrates knowledge from a wide variety of fields and focuses on solutions for environmental preservation and sustainability. The tools available assist undergraduates to become scientists, researchers and/or process monitors in a wide range of key positions, such as the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the environmental departments of local authorities.
The first academic institution in Israel to offer a track in Environmental Science only, Tel-Hai integrates their studies from the fields of ecology, biology, physics, and chemistry while implementing faculty members, enthusiastic researchers, and industry leaders to assist students to connect to the field.
In the third academic year, students conduct research, concentrating their focus in the areas of government laboratories, environmental research institutions, and academic institutions. They also receive training in handling hazardous materials accredited by the Ministry of Environmental Protection.
